Portland Beavers News Release
PORTLAND, Ore. - What's better on the Fourth of July than a baseball game, a hot dog and a great fireworks show to celebrate the nation's birthday with family and friends?
Budweiser and the Portland Beavers are teaming up this year to present a special post-game fireworks extravaganza as the team plays host to the Edmonton Trappers at PGE Park July 4. The game kicks off a six-game homestand that runs through July 9 and has a special start time of 6:05 p.m.
The fireworks will begin approximately 15 minutes after the game.
"We were thrilled when we found out we would be playing at home on July 4," said Mark Schuster, president and general manager of the Beavers. "It's going to be a great evening of baseball and Fourth of July fun."
Tickets for the game are still available at the PGE Park box office, on-line at www.ticketmaster.com, or by phoning Ticketmaster at (503) 224-4400. It's also not too late to book your group outing for the Fourth of July.
