Two 'Gades Earn AHL Call-Ups

Richmond, VA – Richmond Renegades goaltender Marc Magliarditi and forward Daniel Goneau have earned American Hockey League opportunities. Magliarditi has been called up to Cleveland of the AHL and Goneau has been summoned to Lowell of the AHL.

Magliarditi, the ECHL Goalie of the Week last week, had started eight straight games. He is 22-19-5 with a 3.04 goals against average and a save percentage of .901. Magliarditi has 46 games of IHL experience and spent time with Houston last season but did not play. He is tied for third in the ECHL with three shutouts and is fifth in minutes played.

Goneau joined the ‘Gades in February in a trade from Louisiana. He had seven points (three goals, four assists) and eight PIM in eight games with the ‘Gades. Goneau is currently in the top 15 in the ECHL in scoring with 71 points in 56 games, and is amongst the leaders in plus/minus at +31. He saw action with Hershey of the AHL earlier this season.

Richmond has now had eight players called up to the AHL this season. In addition two former Renegades, Ryan Kraft and Mike Siklenka, made their NHL debuts this season.

The ‘Gades continue a nine game road trip this weekend at Charlotte Friday (7:20 WXGI) and Saturday at Columbus (6:50 WXGI). Richmond returns home for the final two games of the regular season Saturday, March 29 (7:35) and Sunday, March 30 (5:05).
