Montreal, July 12, 2005 - Two Alouettes have been chosen Player of the Week after huge performances in Montreal's win over the Edmonton Eskimos last week.

Kick return specialist Ezra Landry received the honour for the third time of his young career, with free safety Richard Karikari getting the nod for the first time.

Landry received the honour for his two spectacular kick-return touchdowns against the Eskimos. He scored his first of the game on a 125-yard missed field goal return, the fourth-longest in league history and the longest for an Alouette. He scored his second touchdown of the night on a 74-yard punt return.

Landry totalled 317 kick-return yards and two touchdowns on the night, raising his total to 585 yards after just three games.

The young free safety Richard Karikari was honoured after intercepting two passes against the Eskimos. In just his first season as a starter on the Montreal defence, Karikari stood out in Game #3 with the two picks and two tackles. He has nine tackles for the year so far - the sixth-best total on the Alouettes.
