WILLMAR, Minn. -- Having already made history more than once this season, Marc Flores was duly recognized for his tremendous season as the 2013 Northwoods League co-MVP. Flores enters the last game of the season among the league leaders in an array of statistical categories including: home runs (13), batting average (.353), doubles (25), RBIs (63) and runs scored (57). This season, Flores has set new franchise records for doubles and RBIs. Flores' 25 doubles match a Northwoods League record. Flores is the first Stinger to achieve MVP status.

In addition to Flores being an MVP this season, fellow Stingers Colin Poche (Arkansas) and Michael Suchy (Florida Gulf Coast) have been named to the all-Northwoods League team. Poche will be making his final appearance of the season tonight against the Waterloo Bucks and presently boasts a 5-2 record with a 2.01 ERA. The left-hander has a wildly impressive 54 strikeouts in fewer than 45 innings pitched. Poche anchored a Stingers rotation that has a chance to match the franchise single-season record for wins.

Suchy is among the league leaders in on-base percentage (.436), extra-base hits (29) and is tied for the league lead with 61 runs scored. In addition to his prolific power, Suchy has been a tremendous asset for the Stingers as a leadoff batter.
