Trey Harris Homers in Senators 3-2 Loss

Trey Harris hit a two-run home run in the first inning Wednesday night, but it was all the Sens would score in their 10-inning 3-2 loss to Altoona at PNB Field. It was the third straight extra inning game for the Senators and just their third walk-off loss. The Senators managed just four hits in the game.

Tim Cate started for the Senators and went six innings and allowed just two runs on seven hits. He six of the seven hits in the first three innings before settling down. Tim retired ten of the final eleven batters he faced. Steven Fuentes followed and went three scoreless innings. He worked around a lead off hit in each of his three frames. Reid Schaller took the loss as he allowed the placed runner to score in the bottom of the tenth inning.

Robert Hassell III had his first hit for the Senators, a double in the first inning. Darren Baker and Gilbert had the other hits for Harrisburg. The Senators again struggled with runners in scoring position going 1-for-10.

The game took just 2:17 to play. Altoona leads the season series 11-9 with the win. There are four games to play in the season series which is still up for grabs.
