
Travs Move into Tie for First with 2-1 Win

North Little Rock, AR - The Arkansas Travelers won their fifth straight game and moved into a tie for first place with a 2-1 victory on Tuesday night at Dickey-Stephens Park.
RHP Alex Blackford (W, 7-4) worked a career-high seven innings and allowed the run (unearned) on four hits with a walk and six strikeouts.
Blackford is 4-0 with a 1.63 ERA over his last five starts.
LHP Tyler DeLoach retired both of the batters he faced in the eighth and RHP Keynan Middleton (S, 5) remained perfect in closing games for Arkansas with his second-straight four-out save.
Trailing 1-0, Arkansas tied the game in the fifth on an SS Anthony Phillips sacrifice squeeze.
An inning later, 3B Andrew Daniel drew a two-out walk and scored the go-ahead run on an DH Eric Aguilera RBI double to the right-center gap. Aguilera leads the Travs with 57 RBIs.
1B Alex Yarbrough and CF Bo Way both produced two-hits nights.
The two teams finished a combined 0-for-9 with runners in scoring position.
The five straight wins for Arkansas is a season-high.
With the victory, Arkansas moved into a tie for first place in the Texas League North second half standings at 17-15. The Travs and Naturals will conclude the series on Wednesday at Dickey-Stephens Park.
