
Early Offense Can't Hold as Naturals Fall, 2-1

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - Ashton Goudeau fired his second straight quality start and Mauricio Ramos collected three hits, but the Naturals dropped game two of the three game series to the Arkansas Travelers on Tuesday night at Dickey-Stephens by a final of 2-1.
Goudeau (3-10, 4.86) set the tone for the Naturals' pitching staff as he tossed 6.0 innings of two-run baseball, scattering six hits and walked a batter before turning it over to the bullpen Left-hander, Matt Strahm tossed a perfect seventh inning while left-hander, Daniel Stumpf, made his 2016 Naturals' debut and worked a scoreless 8th frame.
The Naturals plated the first run of the game on an Alfredo Escalera sacrifice fly in the fourth inning. Unfortunately the lone tally Northwest Arkansas on the night.
Ramos led the offense with three-hits while Carlos Garica and Cam Gallagher tacked on the other two hits for the Naturals.
The series concludes on Wednesday night from North Little Rock with right-hander, Josh Staumont (1-0, 1.69) pursuing is second straight victory on the year. Counter for the Travelers is right-hander, Tyler Carpenter (4-7, 5.60).
