
Travs Fall Just Short in Series Finale

North Little Rock, AR - Robert Perez, Jr. hit a three-run home run in the ninth inning but the Arkansas Travelers came up one run short against the Wichita Wind Surge in a 6-5 defeat on Sunday afternoon. The Wind Surge had scored the first five runs of the game forcing the Travs to try to dig out of a big hole. Travis Adams was the winner for Wichita holding the Travs to just one run over five-plus innings while Arkansas starter Shawn Semple took the loss.
Moments That Mattered
* Wichita hit three home runs off of Semple including a two-run blast by Yoyner Fajardo that put them up by five.
* The homer by Perez brought the Travs within one but the next hitter was called for an automatic strike to begin his at-bat and the Travs never got the tying run on base.
