Columbus Crew SC News Release
The MLS AT&T All-Star Game might kick-off from Portland on Wednesday night, but the week's festivities begin tonight, with the Chipotle MLS Homegrown Game from Providence Park starting at 10:00 p.m. ET.
Midfielder Wil Trapp and goalkeeper Matt Lampson are in the side composed of MLS Homegrown Players that is slated to face the Portland Timbers' U-23 team.
Trapp and Lampson are two of seven Homegrown Players currently signed by the Crew. On the original roster named to the Homegrown Game, the Crew was one of just seven MLS clubs to have more than one player named to the team.
Andrew Arthurs, the Crew's Sr. Vice President of Soccer Business Development, earlier commented on how Trapp and Lampson's nomination to this match is a testament to the Black & Gold's academy system.
