WINNIPEG, MB â The following is the Day 1 report from the 2004 Winnipeg Blue Bombers Training Camp.
NO SHOWS â After a few flight delays held up some players, all players under contract arrived for physicals.
ROSTER MOVES â offensive tackle Cliff Woodruff arrived in town and is expected to sign with the club tomorrow. Contracts were received from wide receiver Derrick Smith, and draftees safety Ryan Folk, linebacker Neil McKinlay, kicker Jon Ryan and safety John Sullivan. These contracts are expected to be registered with the league offices Sunday.
FAILED PHYSICALS â Centre Benedict Ibisi.
PASSED PHYSICALS â All other players reported to camp, passed their physicals and had their head-and-shoulder photographs taken.
TONIGHT â The Blue Bomber players, coaches and staff will have an official team dinner this evening, followed by the first team meeting of the 2004 season.
TOMORROW â There are two practice sessions at Canad Inns Stadium. The first practice is at 8:30 a.m. and the second practice is at 11:00 a.m. All training camp practices are open to the public.
