Edmonton Elks News Release

(Edmonton) The Edmonton Eskimos announced the club has agreed to terms with former five-time CFL Eastern Division All-Star and three-time CFL All-Star slotback Derrell Mitchell. In keeping with club policy, the terms of the contract have not been released.

The 7-year Agro was cut by Toronto last week and was a fan-favorite during his 113-game career. Mitchell was the Argonauts' Player of the Year in 2000 and was the CFL's Most Outstanding Rookie in 1997.

"Derrell brings a special set of skills to Edmonton and we are excited to see what he will add to our current line-up of potent receivers," said Eskimo head Coach Tom Higgins
