Arkansas Travelers News Release

Tulsa, OK - The Tulsa Drillers walked off on the Arkansas Travelers 6-2 winners in the 10 innings on Saturday at ONEOK Field thanks to a grand slam from 1B Cody Bellinger.

After RHP Danny Reynolds (L, 0-2) struck out back-to-back batters to begin the 10th, he issued a walk to C Kyle Farmer. After two straight wild pitches, the Travs intentionally walked CF Alex Verdugo to put runners on the corners. DH Jacob Scavuzzo was then hit by the first pitch he saw which loaded the bases for Bellinger. After Reynolds missed with the first two pitches, Bellinger blasted a 2-0 fastball over the fence in right-center to end the game.

With the Travs down 2-1 in the ninth and two outs, RF Cal Towey blasted the first pitch he saw over the right field fence to tie the game 2-2.

Towey finished 3-for-4 with the home run, his second straight three-hit game (6-for-8 over the two games).

Arkansas starter RHP Victor Alcantara worked five shutout innings in the no-decision. Alcantara allowed four hits with one walk and no strikeouts.

Saturday marked the fourth time Tulsa and Arkansas played extra innings over their last nine meetings.

The Travs are 1-4 in extra innings this season.

With the loss, Arkansas is now 1-9 over its last 10 games. The Travs fell to 13-23 and will begin a four-game series at Northwest Arkansas on Monday after a day off Sunday. First pitch on Monday is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
