Asheville Tourists News Release
With speed dating having become one of the hottest activities among single adults, the Asheville Tourists are hosting a special night by combining the popular concept with the perfect setting.
On Thursday, June 5, when the baseball team welcomes the Hickory Crawdads on the field, the Tourists will host Speed Dating Night in the picnic area down the right field line. The McCormick Field gates open at 6 p.m., with the speed dating beginning at 6:30 p.m. and continuing until 8:10 p.m. Participants will then enjoy the All-American Buffet, starting at 8:15 p.m., and featuring grilled hamburgers with all the fixings, hot dogs, baked beans, cole slaw and many other ballpark favorites.
The speed dating is limited to 40 people, divided equally with 20 males and 20 females, between the ages of 21 and 40. The $29 ticket price includes admission to the game, the speed dating and the All-American buffet. A cash bar serving beer and wine will also be available.
For more information regarding the Speed Dating Night or any other event at McCormick Field, contact the Tourists' front office at (828) 258-0428.
