Savannah Sand Gnats News Release
SAVANNAH, Ga. - On Saturday, April 26 the Savannah Sand Gnats and ImageMil Studios Inc. will host Pack the Park Night for the second straight year. Then on Sunday, the Gnats will host Brides and Baseball: A Wedding Expo in conjunction with Bridal Mart and The Little Black Book.
On Saturday, kids who show up dressed in their little league uniforms will receive free admission to the Sand Gnats 7 p.m. game versus the Rome Braves. Little league teams will participate in a pregame, Olympic-style parade around the field with Georgia's own World Champion Warner Robbins little league team. After the game, all little leaguers dressed in uniform will be allowed back on to the field for a postgame autograph session with both teams.
Brides and Baseball: A Wedding Expo will take place on Sunday beginning at noon before Savannah's 2 p.m. contest. The expo will feature different vendors from around the Savannah area ranging from photographers and caterers to florists and entertainers.
During the event, 12 pre-selected contestants will compete in the Bridal Mart Test for the Dress contest. The 12 contestants must all grab hold of a wedding dress and the last person left standing will receive a wedding dress valued at up to $1,000 from Bridal Mart of Savannah.
The Sand Gnats (6-13) and RiverDogs (16-3) wrap up their quick two-game set today at 7 p.m. On the hill for Savannah will be Angel Calero (0-2, 3.86), who is searching for his first win of the season. It's a Food Lion MVP Wednesday meaning fans who bring their Food Lion MVP Rewards Card receive half off a general admission ticket.
