
Tourists Blast Away In Hickory.. Again

(Hickory, NC) Juan Nicasio tossed eight solid innings and Jimmy Cesario hit his third homerun the series as Asheville held on to 5-3 win over Hickory on Sunday. The Tourists have now extended their winning streak to five games after losing four straight. The win guarantees the Tourists (61-62, 35-19) a 1.5 lead for first place over Augusta who plays later tonight.
Ryan Peisel put Asheville on the board with a solo homerun in the second inning. Jimmy Cesario hit a two-run homerun in the third and Thomas Field hit a two-run shot in the fourth for a 5-0 lead. Asheville has hit nine homeruns through the first three games of the series with Cesario connecting in all three games.
Juan Nicasio (8-2) bounced back from his last rough outing with nine strikeouts in eight innings of work. Nicasio allowed just three runs to earn his eighth win of the season.
Asheville will attempt the sweep on Monday from Hickory at 7:05 with Dan Houston on the mound. All the action can be heard live on www.theashevilletourists.com
