Tortugas to Honor First Responders

DAYTONA BEACH, FL - The Daytona Tortugas are pleased to announce their FOX First Responders Night, presented by 9-1-1, for Friday, July 27th. The Tortugas would like to say thank you to those who serve and protect by offering free tickets for all First Responders, courtesy of FOX 9-1-1. Tickets may be reserved ahead of time or picked up at Jackie Robinson Ballpark with a valid ID.

The night will include special Tortugas jerseys that will honor First Responders and will be auctioned off, as well as post-game fireworks, presented by FOX 9-1-1. The Party Pavilion will host a touch-a-truck exhibit featuring First Responders and their vehicles, and the FOX 9-1-1 "Putting Out the Fire" mini golf challenge for all fans to enjoy.

FOX's 9-1-1 is the hit drama series which chronicles the lives of Los Angeles First Responders. The series began in January and is getting set to debut it's second season this September.

FOX 35's Ryan Elijah will be on hand Friday and will throw out a ceremonial first pitch prior to the game. The Tortugas will also have in-game promotions throughout the night that feature local First Responders.

First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 PM against the Fort Myers Miracle, with gates opening at 5:30 PM. The first 1,000 fans through the gates will receive 9-1-1 emergency kits courtesy of FOX 9-1-1, so make sure you get there early.

The Tortugas and FOX are honored to be able to say thank you to our community's heroes with a fun night at Radiology Associates Field at Jackie Robinson Ballpark.
