LAST TIME: Yankees' All-Star Gleyber Torres joined the Tarpons and Brandon Wagner slugged his 20th homer, but Tampa dropped the rubber game at Dunedin Stadium, 4-3, on Saturday night...Dunedin clinched the season-series, 8-7...Torres (1-for-3, BB, R) played seven innings at 2B and reached base twice in his first rehab game...Wagner (1-for-4, HR, 2RBI, R) clubbed a 2-run homer in the 1st...LHP Dalton Lehnen (L, 0-2) faced one batter over the minimum through the 4th before the Blue Jays rallied in the 5th (5.0IP, 5H, 3ER, 2BB, 3K, WP, HB, 78P/46S)...LHP Justin Kamplain (1.1IP, 1H, 1ER, 2BB, 2K) allowed a run in the 6th...RHP Andrew Schwaab (1.2IP, 1H, 1K)logged a scoreless outing...Dom Thompson-Williams (1-for-4, R) singled and scored on a groundout by Angel Aguilar (0-for-4, RBI) in the 9th.

STREAKS SNAPPED: After tallying double-digit hits in three-straight games, the Tarpons were held to just six knocks on Saturday. Angel Aguilar (0-for-4, RBI) saw his season-high eight-game hitting streak come to an end. Meanwhile, Diego Castillo (0-for-4) and Isiah Gilliam (0-for-3, HBP) each had six-game hit streaks snapped.

GLEYBER DAY: On Saturday, the New York Yankees assigned INF Gleyber Torres to the Tampa Tarpons to begin a Minor League Rehab Assignment. Torres has been sidelined with a right groin strain since July 5th, forcing him to miss playing in the 2018 MLB All-Star Game. The 21-year-old made his Yankees oranizational debut with High-A Tampa in 2016, batting .254 (31-for-122) with 19R, 6 doubles, 2 triples, 2HR, 19RBI and 16BB in 31 games with the T-Yanks after being acquired from the Chicago Cubs. Torres is expected to rejoin the Yankees on Wednesday.

VS. BRADENTON: Tonight will be the seventh of 16 games scheduled between the Tampa Tarpons and Bradenton Marauders. The Tarpons currently lead the season-series, 5-1, including 2-1 at GMS Field and 3-0 at LECOM Park. In three games against the Marauders, Dom Thompson-Williams is batting .417 (5-for-12) with 4R, 2 doubles, 1HR, 2RBI, 1BB and 2SB. Also in three games vs. Bradenton, Ben Ruta his hitting .385 (5-for-13) with 3R, 2HR, 4RBI and 2BB.

FLORIAL RETURNS: Estevan Florial is back after completing a rehab assignment in the Gulf Coast League. The 20-year-old hit .548 (17-for-31) with 10R, 3HR, 1 3B, 3 2B's, 4BB, 8RBI and 5B in nine rehab games. Florial was placed on the DL on May 18th after requiring hamate surgery in his right hand. The Dominican Republic native returned to the Tarpons from his assignment and was activated off the DL on Thursday.

STRIKEOUT KINGS: Nick Nelson (5K), Trevor Lane (3K), Matt Frawley (2K) and Andrew Schwaab (1K) combined for 11 strikeouts on Tuesday. Tampa pitchers have tallied double-digit strikeouts in 44 games this season, with the Tarpons going 25-19 in such games. Tampa, by far, leads the Florida State League in strikeouts, totaling 941K entering today. That is 88K more than the team ranked second (Clearwater - 853K). Tampa is averaging 9.51 K-per-game and is on pace for 1,331K, which would crush its own FSL single-season strikeout record set last season with 1,215K.

BABY BOMBERS: The Tarpons currently lead the league with 81 home runs. No other team has more than 71.

10-WIN CLUB: RHP Adonis Rosa became the second pitcher to reach 10 wins in the Florida State League on Wednesday, joining Daytona RHP Scott Moss (10-3). Also of note, Rosa is now 8-0 with a 2.35 ERA in 11 road games (nine starts).

FOR STARTERS: RHP Nick Green (6-4, 3.41) will make his 17th start of the season. Last time out, allowed a career-high 11R (7ER) in 3.0IP (7H, 4BB, 0K, HB, WP, 76P/40S) in a loss at Charlotte on 7/16...currently ranks seventh in the Florida State League in ERA...has made a quality start (6.0+ IP/3ER-or-less) in nine of his 16 starts this season...named a 2018 FSL Mid-Season All-Star and started for the North Division, tossing a perfect 1st-inning (1.0IP, 1K).

VS. BRADENTON: Green made a quality start against the Marauders in Tampa on 6/10 (6.0IP, 3H, ER, 2BB, 3K, HR, HB, WP, 92P/62S).

2017: Went 8-9 with a 4.49 ERA (126.1IP, 131H, 74R/63ER, 39BB, 112K) in 26 starts with Single-A Charleston...held left-handed batters to a .201 (38-for-189) batting average...went 4-4 with a 2.77 ERA (65.0IP, 20ER) in 13 starts before the All-Star break...did not allow an earned run in three consecutive starts from 4/29-5/13 (20.2IP, 2R)

Personal: 23-years-old, 6-1, 175 - Fountain, Colorado...Acquired from Texas, along with RHPs Dillon Tate and Erik Swanson, in exchange for OF Carlos Beltrán and cash on 8/1/16...was originally selected by the Rangers in the seventh round in 2014 out of Indian Hills Community College...Played one season (2014) at Indian Hills Community College (Iowa), going 3-1 wit ha 2.97 ERA (36.1IP, 12ER)...graduated in 2013 from Fountain-Fort Carson H.S. (Colo.).
