Daytona Tortugas News Release

CLEARWATER, Fla. -- The Daytona Tortugas' scheduled game Sunday afternoon against the Clearwater Threshers at Spectrum Field has been postponed due to inclement weather.

Since Daytona does not return to Clearwater in the season's first half, there will be a doubleheader at Jackie Robinson Ballpark in Daytona Beach before the All-Star break. The date and start time of the twinbill has yet to be determined.

Daytona returns home to Jackie Robinson Ballpark tomorrow evening, Monday, May 6, to open up a three-game series against the Palm Beach Cardinals, High-A affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals. It will be a Belly Buster Monday presented by Marco's Pizza at The Jack. For just a $13 ticket, fans will be treated to an all-you-can-eat buffet of their favorite ballpark foods such as hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza, and popcorn.

Today's scheduled starting pitcher - RHP Michael Byrne (1-1, 4.91 ERA) - is expected to get the ball for the series' opener for Daytona. Palm Beach has not yet listed their potential starter for tomorrow's contest.

The Tortugas Pre-Game Show will kick off the broadcast at 6:50 p.m. ET, leading up to the 7:05 p.m. ET start at Jackie Robinson Ballpark. Monday evening's game can be heard on www.daytonatortugas.com or via the TuneIn Radio and MiLB First Pitch apps.

Season ticket and multi-game plans are still currently available and can be purchased online at www.daytonatortugas.com, or by calling the Tortugas' Ticket Office at (386) 257-3172.
