
Toros Snap Streak With 12-4 Blowout Victory

The Tucson Toros ended their losing streak with an emphatic 12-4 blowout of the Victoria Seals. The win snapped a seven game losing streak, bringing Tucson's record to 4-7 this season.
Tucson's starter Vince Davis was sharp in his best outing the year, taking a perfect game into the 5th inning. He also helped his own cause with a walk, single, and two runs scored. The righty earned his first win of the season finishing with 7 innings of 2-run ball while striking out 5.
Tucson got out to an early lead with an unearned run in the 2nd inning and then piled out eight more runs in a 4th inning that saw 5 hits, 4 walks and 12 Toros come to the plate.
Five different Tucson players had multi-hit nights, with Catcher Luis Apodaca and Shortstop Ryan Priddy chipping in 3 apiece. Tucson had a season high 16 hits against the Seals.
Rightfielder Victor Ferrante extended his hitting streak to a team high 10 games dating back to May 20th.
Tucson also extended their lead for the most triples in the GBL with two more Tuesday. Priddy hit his second on the season while Centerfielder Josh Womack legged out his third 3-bagger.
The Toros and Seals will play game two of the three game series on Wednesday, with a 7:00 p.m. first pitch. The game can be heard live on COOL 1450 AM or video streaming over the internet at www.tucsontoros.com.
