
Toros Defeat Tulsa 66ers

AUSTIN, Texas Dec. 29, 2013- The Austin Toros defeated the Tulsa 66ers 96-93 Sunday afternoon at Cedar Park Center. Malcolm Thomas and Nando De Colo were assigned to the Toros from the San Antonio Spurs for the game.
Flip Murray paced the Toros with 30 points, four rebounds and four assists. Eric Dawson finished with 23 points and eight rebounds. In his first return to Cedar Park Center since the 2012 Championship season, Luke Zeller contributed 11 points and eight rebounds. Tulsa's Grant Jerrett led the 66ers with a double-double tallying 26 points and 12 rebounds.
In a closely contested match, the two teams traded leads nine times and were tied six. With three minutes remaining in the competition, the score was tied 86 all. The 66ers had two consecutive forced turnovers giving the Toros the small window they needed to finish the game on top.
The Tulsa 66ers (2-12) will travel to Maine to play the Red Claws on Jan. 2 at 6:00pm. The Austin Toros (6-6) play the Texas Legends on Jan. 3 at 7:30pm at Cedar Park Center.
