
Toronto Tempo Announce First Trade in Team History

[TORONTO, ON] - The Toronto Tempo has announced its first trade in franchise history.
The Tempo has acquired the 26th overall pick in the 2026 WNBA Draft from the Chicago Sky via the New York Liberty. In exchange, the Tempo has agreed to pass on selecting from Chicago's unprotected list in the 2026 Expansion Draft.
With this transaction, the Tempo now hold picks 6, 22, 26, and 36 in the upcoming WNBA Draft.
Taking place this Friday, the Expansion Draft presented by Instacart will mark the Tempo's first opportunity to build their roster ahead of the inaugural season. The team will continue shaping its roster through free agency and the WNBA Draft on April 13.
