
Chicago Sky Make Pair of Deals with Expansion Teams

CHICAGO - The Chicago Sky agreed to deals with the expansion Toronto Tempo and Portland Fire ahead of Friday's Expansion Draft, the team announced today.
The Sky are swapping pick No. 17 in the 2026 WNBA Draft with Portland's pick No. 21 in exchange for the Fire to not select any player from Chicago's Unprotected List in the Expansion Draft.
Additionally, the Sky are sending pick No. 26 (via New York) in the 2026 WNBA Draft to Toronto in exchange for the Tempo to not select any player from Chicago's Unprotected List in the Expansion Draft.
This means that neither the Tempo nor the Fire will be selecting a Sky player in Friday's Expansion Draft.
In total, the Sky hold the following picks in the 2026 WNBA Draft: No. 5 overall (first round), No. 21 overall (second round), No. 32 overall (third round).
