Toronto FC, Carlos Salcedo Mutually Agree to Terminate Contract
July 12, 2022 - Major League Soccer (MLS)
Toronto FC News Release
Toronto FC announced today that the club and Mexican international defender Carlos Salcedo have mutually agreed to terminate Salcedo's Major League Soccer contract, effective July 15, 2022.
"We'd like to thank Carlos for his efforts during a difficult time," said Toronto FC President Bill Manning. "In the end, Carlos felt it was most important to return to Mexico to be with his wife and children. We fully support Carlos' decision and wish him the best in the future."
Salcedo, 28, was in his first season with TFC and made 16 appearances (MLS and Canadian Championship) for the Reds. He originally joined TFC as a Designated Player on January 31, 2022.
