Owen Sound Attack News Release
The Owen Sound Attack, in partnership with the Owen Sound Fire Department, the Salvation Army and Grey Motors Mazda is pleased to announce that over $1500.00 cash and over $1000.00 worth of toys were collected last Saturday during the 2nd Annual Toonies and Toys Night.
On December 3rd, fans were encouraged to bring a new toy, cash donation, non perishable food item or participate in the 2nd intermission puck toss, which would all assist in helping less fortunate local families have the Christmas they deserve.
"The grand total was up over last year, which is very encouraging for the coming years.", stated Attack Director of Marketing and PR Brent Fisher. "This is an annual event and we, along with the Owen Sound Fire Department, Salvation Army and Grey Motors Mazda were thrilled with the support we received. We already can't wait for the 3rd Annual Toonies and Toys Night next season."
In the past two years, over $2500.00 cash and over $1500.00 worth of toys have been raised for local families. "This is one our main initiatives and goes a long way in allowing us to assist local families." Stated Wayne Flood of the Owen Sound Fire Department. "We wish to thank the Attack, the Salvation Army, Grey Motors Mazda and of course all of the loyal fans for their support."
The Attack is back in action at home this Saturday, December 10th when they play host to the Guelph Storm. Game time at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre is 7:30pm. Tickets are available at the Attack Box Office, by calling (519) 371-7452 or online at www.attackhockey.com .
