Spits Ready to Honour Bill Bowler this Saturday

The Windsor Spitfires are excited to be retiring and honouring Bill Bowler's #9 (alongside Adam Graves) and recognizing his record for most career points as a Spitfire this Saturday night (December 10th, 2011) at the WFCU Centre when the Spitfires host the Erie Otters at 7:05pm.

On ice ceremonies/speeches will commence prior to the game start and Bill will be signing autographs for fans during the 1st intermission in the concourse outside The Crease retail store (section 109). Free posters will be available for fans at table and at exits after the game (while supplies last).

In four seasons with the Spits (91-92 through 94-95) Bill Bowler leads all Windsor Spitfires with a career total of 467 points and scored over 100 points in the last three of his four seasons in the OHL.

Bowler's point totals smash those of some of our team's recent players such as Taylor Hall (280) and Ryan Ellis (314).

Bill is also the OHL's current all-time assist leader with 318, over Brett Seguin (Ottawa 67's) with 303 from 1988-89 through 91-92 and Wayne Groulx (Sault Ste. Marie) with 290 from 1981-82 through 84-85.
