Walleye Notes

- Going Up and Down! Trevor Parkes led Toledo with the game-winning goal and two assists in a 3-2 win over Kalamazoo on Monday night. The Komets scored twice in the third period Tuesday night pull away from the Walleye 5-3. Forward Louis-Marc Aubry scored a power play goal in the third period as Toledo defeated Reading 5-3 on Friday night. Toledo finished the week out shooting Kalamazoo 42-32 but lost 6-3 to the Wings.

- Home Ice Dominant! With two wins this week at the Huntington Center, Toledo has now won four of the last five games played at the Huntington Center.

- Ending a Run! When goaltender Mac Carruth started Saturday's game in Kalamazoo it ended a streak of 11 straight starts in net for Hannu Toivonen that started on December 11. Toivonen posted a 5-6-0 record in those contests.

- Gametime! Toledo returns home to host Fort Wayne for the first time this year on Friday night. The Walleye are 1-2-1 against the Komets. Saturday and Sunday the Walleye will play a home at home with the Wheeling Nailers. Toledo and Wheeling have split the first two meetings this year with the home winning both.

- Promotions! Friday is Polish Heritage night presented by Stanley's Market. Fans can score a 2014 Walleye/Mud Hens calendar following the game! Sunday is Family Fun Day with the Walleye with a special appearance from Dora the Explorer!
