The K-Wings will start the week on Wednesday against the Komets. Wednesday's game is the rescheduled contest that was postponed from yesterday due to inclement weather. This will be the third meeting between the teams this season and the first at Allen County Memorial Coliseum.

Kalamazoo will wrap-up their brief two-game road swing this Friday night in Cincinnati. January 10th will be the ninth meeting of the season between the two teams. The K-Wings are 4-2-1-1 against the Cyclones, who start the week in first place in the North Division. (20-9-1-1, 42 points)

January 11th will be an intergalactic showdown between the K-Wings and Komets on Star Wars Night at Wings Stadium. As part of Saturday's out-of-this world entertainment members of the 501st Garrison will be on hand interacting with the fans. Saturday's game starts a stretch of three games in row against the Komets.

The K-Wings will conclude the week on Sunday against the Komets. On the season, the K-Wings are 1-1-0-0 against the Komets, who begin the week fourth place in the North Division (13-11-2-4, 32 points).

On the season the K-Wings penalty killers have generated eight shorthanded goals. The eight shorthanders ranks Kalamazoo second in the ECHL behind the Florida Everblades, who has scored nine times shorthanded this season.

Grueling Stretch Last Saturday the K-Wings concluded their most grueling stretch of the season, six games in nine days. Kalamazoo concluded the stretch with a record of 3-2-1-0.

A December to Remember

This Wednesday will be the first road game in the month of January for the K-Wings. Last month Kalamazoo was stellar on the road earning a record of 6-2-0-0 away from Wings Stadium.

Home Sweet Home

Kalamazoo has been finding ways to earn points at home. The K-Wings enter the week looking to extend their season-high four-game (3-0-1-0) unbeaten streak in regulation at Wings Stadium.

The Obscure Stat of the Week

Forward Chris Lawrence broke a scoring drought with his goal against the Toledo Walleye last Saturday. The goal was Lawrence's second of the season and his first since October 26th versus the Evansville IceMen, a span of 28 games.
