Walleye Notes

- Week in Review! Forward Kevin Lynch scored twice in Cincinnati on Thursday but the Cyclones prevailed 3-2 in overtime. Lynch was at it again Saturday night as he scored the game-winning goal in a 2-0 win over Wheeling.

- Mac Time Again! Walleye goaltender Mac Carruth made 30 saves during Saturday's win to collect his second win of the year and the first professional shutout in his career.

- Starting Strong! For the first in Toledo Walleye, the Walleye has collected five points in the first three games with a 2-0-1 record. The 2012-13 and 2009-10 Walleye teams started 2-1-0; both of those teams made the playoffs.

- Gametime! It's a busy week ahead for the Toledo Walleye with four games in five days. Wednesday morning, the Cincinnati Cyclones will invade the Huntington Center for the first time this year. Friday and Saturday features a home at home with the Kalamazoo Wings. Toledo was 5-4-4 last year against their Michigan rivals last year. Following Saturday's game, Toledo will travel to Evansville for a Sunday game against the IceMen. The Walleye held a record of 6-4-0 vs. the IceMen a year ago. Both the Cyclones and IceMen have started the season 3-0-0.

- Promotions! 'Star Wars Night' 'Stanley Cup' Saturday night, the force and the Cup are coming to the Huntington Center! The night includes special appearances by 501st Legion, specialty food items including- Boba Fett-uccini, Tie Fighter Chicken and Jedi Juice. Fans are encouraged to come in their best Star Wars costumes. The Walleye will wear X-Wing Pilot themed jerseys and the Kalamazoo Wings will go on the attack in Darth Vader themed jerseys. Both team game worn "Star Wars" jerseys will be auctioned off immediately following the game. Lord Stanley's Cup will make a special visit to the Huntington Center on November 2. Every guest with a game ticket will have the opportunity to get their picture taken with the Cup by our professional photographer from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. in the Aquarium.
