Titans Rebound Against Dayton in 6-2 Win

TRENTON, NJ (March 12, 2005) – Bryce Cockburn scored three goals and Leon Hayward added two, as they lead the Trenton Titans to a 6-2 victory over the Dayton Bombers in front of 5,382 fans at Sovereign Bank Arena.

Cockburn's first tally came at 5:33 in the first period in the midst of a Titans penalty kill. It was the Titans first short-handed goal of the season at Sovereign Bank Arena.

Hayward followed with a goal of his own at 8:51 to give the Titans a two-goal lead. Jerramie Domish, playing forward for the Titans, and Steve Munn assisted the effort. It was Munn's first point as a Titan.

In the second period, Cockburn extended the lead by two goals with a wrist shot that beat Bombers' goalie Simon Lajeunesse at 4:25. Just 1:36 later, Cockburn completed his hat-trick with his 12th goal of the year.

Dayton finally scored at 14:21 in the second period when Scott Basiuk fired a slapshot past Andrew Allen to cut the Titans lead to 4-1.

Hayward provided the Titans with a four goal cushion once again when he scored his 12th of the season, and second of the contest, at 18:32.

Allen earned his 20th win of the season, stopping 24 shots, including 14 in the second period. The Titans were 2-for-6 on the power play and 8-for-9 on the penalty kill.
