February 16, 2013 - The North Division leaders swept the weekend pair with Trenton after a 5-2 win in the Queen City. It was the last game in a 3-in-3 road trip for the Titans.

Next Meeting

This is the last regular season meeting in Cincinnati, but the teams go at it once more in Trenton on Friday, March 15 at 7:05 pm.

Record (Home/Away); Streaks

Cincinnati: 34-17-4-274 pts (17-10-1-1 Home), 8-2 over the last 10 and on a 3-game win streak. Trenton: 22-26-4-452 pts (9-14-2-2 Road), 4-4-1-1- over the last 10 games. Titans are on a 3-gm point streak (2-0-0-1).

Ostergard-ing The Net

With a strong, 36-save performance, Brooks Ostergard notched his first professional win in his second pro start.

Ostergard quickly came full-circle in his young career - his first career pro start came last year with the now -defunct Chicago Express back on March 18, 2012. He took the loss at home in a 5-4 game against...the Trenton Titans.

Welcome To The OK Corral

The Titans net minders - Scott Wedgewood in particular - have done a phenomenal job between the pipes under heavy duress, regardless of the outcomes.

Trenton has allowed an average of 34.1 shots per game over the last eight games, including over 40 shots twice, with the average going up nearly two goals going back 10 more games.

Wedgewood has been in net for seven of those last eight. All told in 41 games (including 1 relief and 1 shortened due to injury), he has averaged 30 shots a gm - a number that has increased throughout the year.

Record Books Re-Written

Busy weekend for the ECHL Research Staff

It was both fun and hard work in the ECHL offices this past weekend, as around the league records were tied or broken.

Stephen Schultz's 4 PPG tied an ECHL record, with Michael Dubuc (SC, 09), Barret Ehgoetz (CIN, 09), Chanse Fitzpatrick (Dayton, 07) and Mat Oates (Columbus, 96).

SC goalie Ryan Zapolski became the fifth in ECHL history with 3 consecutive shutouts after a 3-0 win Saturday. He has seven this year, one away from the season record set byJean-Philippe Lamoureux (Alaska, 08-09). Zapolski is also 51:46 away from the league record for longest shutout sequence of 236:03, set by Darryl Paquett (Hampton Roads, 1996-97).

Evansville beat Florida in a shooutout, 5-4, after 21 rounds. The 42 shooters used tied the record set by Hampton Roads-Birmingham on October 16, 1992.

Finally, Stockton coach Matt Thomas moved to fifth all-time in wins after beating Bakersfield and Ontario. He is now 334-221-80 in nine ECHL seasons.
