Trenton Devils News Release

TRENTON, NJ – The Trenton Titans rode the goaltending of Chris Houle for a 2-1 triumph over the Toledo Storm in front of 4,762 at Sovereign Bank Arena.

The second-year goaltender would turn away all but one of the 31 shots he faced and help the Titans kill off a 6-4 power play with late in regulation.

Matt Zultek got the Titans on the board first with a power play goal at 6:52 of the second period. It was Zultek's tenth marker of the season.

Trenton would stretch their lead to 2-0 in third period with the help of the power play again, as Brent Robinson's centering pass deflected off of Scooter Smith and past Toledo Storm goalie Scott Fankhouser.

Paul Ballantyne got the Storm on the board with the man advantage when he put P.J. Martin's rebound past Houle at 6:59 of the third period.

The Titans had a late goal nullified by a holding call on Rick Kowalsky and would find themselves down a man for the last two minutes of regulation.

Houle registered his first win since January 7 and goes to 10-5-4, as the Titans get their first regulation victory since January 8. Fankhouser stopped 31 of 33 shots in the loss.

The Titans continue their five-game homestand against the Wheeling Nailers on Saturday, February 5 at 7:00pm. Tune in to 91.3 FM-WTSR or go to www.trentontitans.com to listen or watch live.
