NEW LOOK: On Monday the TinCaps unveiled new, additional brand marks. The new marks, which are an extension of the team's brand, have been incorporated into new batting practice tops, BP hats, and road jerseys. The BP tops are charcoal with grey sleeves, with "TinCaps" across the chest in cursive and candy apple red in color. The "T" appears like an apple with a stem and leaf. The BP hats are grey with "Ft.W" in script, with the "W" looking like an apple. Meanwhile, the road jerseys are grey with red sleeves. "Ft. Wayne" is written in that cursive candy apple red font with the "F" resembling an apple. Earlier this season the team debuted new home white jerseys (similar to the previous ones but sans pinstripes and with a more readable number font), plus a dark green alternate jersey that says "The Fort" on the front which is being worn for Thursday home games. The team also has added an alternate home hat that has a white front. Since rebranding from the Wizards to the TinCaps when moving into Parkview Field in 2009, this is the first time the team has updated its uniforms. New gear is available for fans in The Orchard Team Store at the ballpark and online at TinCaps.com.

260 TO THE SHOW: Former TinCaps outfielder Franmil Reyes made his MLB debut on Monday night with the Padres after being called up from Triple-A El Paso. Reyes, who was here for all of the 2014 and '15 seasons, was leading all of Minor League Baseball in homers this year with 14. Beyond that, the 22-year-old native of the Dominican Republic was slashing .346/.442/.738 this season. A year ago he led San Diego's minor league system in home runs with 25 at Double-A San Antonio... 2012-13 TinCaps pitcher Justin Hancock made his MLB debut last Wednesday as a reliever for the Cubs at Wrigley Field against the Marlins. The 27-year-old righty is from Defiance, Ohio (which is about 45 miles northwest of Parkview Field). Hancock and Reyes have become the 161st and 162nd former Fort Wayne Wizards/TinCaps to reach the bigs. Others to debut so far this season with the Padres: LHP Joey Luchessi (2016) and LHP Eric Lauer (2016).
