LAST NIGHT: The TinCaps overcame an early 3-0 deficit and led, 4-3, but ultimately fell, 7-5, leaving the tying runs in scoring position to end the game.

HOMESTAND HIGHLIGHTS: Today is Military Appreciation Day presented by the Padres, OmniSource, and Steel Dynamics. Before the game, 122ndFighter Wing Commander Colonel Joshua Waggoner will address the crowd. The 122nd Fighter Wing (Blacksnakes) is a unit of the Indiana Air National Guard, stationed in Fort Wayne. Pregame will also feature a color guard from the 122nd Fighter Wing. Before the national anthem by Meagan Barker, Jensen Snyder will sing God Bless America. At 1:01 p.m., A-10 Thunderbolts are scheduled to fly over Parkview Field. During the middle of the 4th inning, military members, including veterans, in the crowd will be honored. The A-10 pilots will be recognized in the middle of the sixth.

COREY ROSIER: Leads the MWL in runs (51) and walks (42; 16%), while ranking 4th in stolen bases (21), triples (5), and BB/K (0.8), and 10th in OBP (.371)... On a season-long 7-game hitting streak since June 18.

ROBERT HASSELL: Leads the MWL in average (.312), while ranking 2nd in hits (69), 5th in RBIs (42), 6th in stolen bases (19), 8th in OBP (.374) and SLG (.489), and 9th in OPS (.863). Also 9th in wRC+ (139), which estimates a player's offensive contribution and normalizes it so that 100 is league average... 8th lowest swinging strike % (9%).

LUCAS DUNN: Over the last 11 games, since June 14, has slashed .304 / .385 / .435 (.820 OPS) with 4 extra-base hits and 9 RBIs.

BRANDON VALENZUELA: Since May 24, in 22 games, has slashed .282 / .378 / .487 (.865 OPS) with a team-high 4 HR and 14 RBIs. His batting average leads team over that stretch... For the season, he has a wRC+ of 101, which ranks 4th among MWL catchers - and is highest for catchers 21 years old and younger.

CAUGHT 'EM: TinCaps catchers lead the league in throwing out runners trying to steal (26 CS). Individually, Brandon Valenzuela leads with 17, while Anthony Vilar has nabbed 7 of 19, and Adam Kerner has caught 2.

PATIENT: The TinCaps lead the MWL in walks drawn (4.4 per game) and also have struck out the 2nd fewest times in the MWL (8.6 per game).

MISCELLANEOUS: The TinCaps are 23-10 when scoring first (70% win rate) and 4-31 when they don't (11%)... Fort Wayne is 6-9 in 1-run games, 4-10 in 2-run games, and 0-2 in extra-innings.

260 TO THE SHOW: Since Fort Wayne's franchise was established in 1993, there have been 206 alumni who've gone on to appear in the major leagues, including 49 this season... Last Sunday, Jack Suwinski (2017-18) hit 3 home runs, including a walk-off, for the Pirates against the Giants... The latest MLB All-Star Game fan voting has 2014 TinCap Trea Turner of the Dodgers leading the way for NL shortstop and 2016 TinCap Ty France of the Mariners in 2ndfor AL first baseman.

ON DECK: Following a day off Monday, the TinCaps start a 6-game road trip at West Michigan (Comstock Park, Mich.) on Tuesday. They'll be back at Parkview Field on Monday, July 4 against Lake County to begin a 12-game homestand.
