LAST NIGHT: The TinCaps overcame an early 3-0 deficit and led, 4-3, but ultimately fell, 7-5, leaving the tying runs in scoring position to end the game.
HOMESTAND HIGHLIGHTS: Today is Military Appreciation Day presented by the Padres, OmniSource, and Steel Dynamics. Before the game, 122ndFighter Wing Commander Colonel Joshua Waggoner will address the crowd. The 122nd Fighter Wing (Blacksnakes) is a unit of the Indiana Air National Guard, stationed in Fort Wayne. Pregame will also feature a color guard from the 122nd Fighter Wing. Before the national anthem by Meagan Barker, Jensen Snyder will sing God Bless America. At 1:01 p.m., A-10 Thunderbolts are scheduled to fly over Parkview Field. During the middle of the 4th inning, military members, including veterans, in the crowd will be honored. ROBERT HASSELL: Leads the MWL in average (.312), while ranking 2nd in hits (69), 5th in RBIs (42), 6th in stolen bases (19), 8th in OBP (.374) and SLG (.489), and 9th in OPS (.863). Also 9th in wRC+ (139), which estimates a player's offensive contribution and normalizes it so that 100 is league average... 8th lowest swinging strike % (9%).
