Fort Wayne TinCaps News Release

FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- The Fort Wayne TinCaps concluded their homestand against the Great Lakes Loons (Los Angeles Dodgers affiliate) on Sunday afternoon at Parkview Field with an 11-3 loss.

On Military Appreciation Day, presented by the San Diego Padres, OmniSource, and Steel Dynamics, the TinCaps wore special patriotic red, white, and blue jerseys. The team will wear them again for their next home game on the Fourth of July. Festivities on the afternoon included a pregame flyover by A-10 Thunderbolts from the nearby 122nd Fighter Wing of the Indiana Air National Guard.

The Loons (3-0, 43-26) scored a run in the third and three in the fourth, and never looked back.

The TinCaps (0-3, 27-42) scored a single run in the seventh, eighth, and ninth innings. But meanwhile, Great Lakes added three in the eighth and four in the ninth to break it open.
