LAST WEEK: The TinCaps split a 6-game series at home with the Lake County Captains. Fort Wayne had a 3-game winning streak snapped Sunday in a 5-2 loss. The 'Caps led, 2-1, after 6, but the Captains rallied late. The TinCaps' 3-game winning streak was their first of that length since taking 3 in a row at Lansing, April 23-24, which included a doubleheader.

SUCCESS VS. LANSING: The TinCaps have dominated the Lugnuts, posting a 9-3 record in two previous series versus Lansing. Fort Wayne has scored 9+ runs in six of the 12 games, and averaged 7.8 runs per game with a +44 run differential.

FUTURES GAME: Center fielder Robert Hassell III has been selected to play for the National League in MLB's Futures Game, as part of All-Star Saturday at Dodger Stadium. He's the 1st player in franchise history to earn an invitation to the showcase while representing Fort Wayne... Hassell leads the MWL in batting average (.310), 5th in hits (79), 6th in RBI (47), 7th in total bases (124), SLG (.486), and OPS (.872), and 8th in OBP (.386) and stolen bases (19).

MAX FERGUSON: Leads Minor League Baseball in walks (70) and ranks 2nd in stolen bases (53)... As far as walks go, Austin Gauthier with the Dodgers' Single-A affiliate, Rancho Cucamonga, also has 70. Juan Soto of the Nats leads MLB with 73... Another Padres prospect, Esteury Ruiz, a 2018 TinCap, has 60 stolen bags between Double-A San Antonio and Triple-A El Paso. The current MLB leader is Miami's Jon Berti with 27.

COREY ROSIER: Leads the MWL in runs (58), while ranking 3rd in triples (6), and 5th in stolen bases (25) and walks (48; 16%)... He's swung and missed at only 9% of pitches, the 4th lowest rate in the league... 16-game on-base streak dating back to June 14 ended last Sunday.

CAUGHT 'EM: TinCaps catchers lead the league in throwing out runners trying to steal (30 CS). Individually, Brandon Valenzuela leads with 20, while Anthony Vilar has nabbed 8 of 21, and Adam Kerner has caught 2.

PATIENT: The TinCaps lead the MWL in walks drawn (4.5 per game) and also have struck out the 2nd fewest times in the MWL (8.5 per game).

MISCELLANEOUS: The TinCaps are 27-13 when scoring first (68% win rate) and 5-36 when they don't (12%)... Fort Wayne is 8-10 in 1-run games, 5-10 in 2-run games, and 1-3 in extra-innings.
