LAST NIGHT: Fort Wayne lost, 5-4, to Lake County after leading 3-0 early. Albert Fabian and Joshua Mears homered in the first four innings to build the TinCaps lead. Both later doubled as well. After a four-run fifth from the Captains, Fort Wayne brought it within one and had the tying run thrown out at the plate to seal the game.

RYAN BERGERT: 6th in the Midwest League in K/9 (11), 9th-best swinging strike rate (13%), and 10th in K% (26%), and 10th in K-BB% (18%).

HOT CAPS: Fort Wayne is on a season-best five-series unbeaten streak, which began with a 3-3 split versus Lake County from July 4-10. Since July 8, the squad is 15-12.

JOSHUA MEARS: Since returning to Fort Wayne on July 26 (14 games), he's leading the team in home runs (5), doubles (3), hits (17), total bases (35), RBIs (13), and slugging (.648). He's batting .315 with a .987 OPS and hits in all but 2 games during this stretch.

JARRYD DALE: Ranks 3rd in the MWL in games (100), 5th in walks (60), and 8th in stolen bases (24).
