PORTLAND, Ore. - Following a 2-1 win in the first leg of the Western Conference Semifinals against Seattle Sounders FC, the Portland Timbers travel to Seattle for the second leg of the series in the Audi 2018 MLS Cup Playoffs against Sounders FC on Thursday at CenturyLink Field. Beginning at 7:30 p.m. (Pacific), the match will be televised on FS1 with local radio broadcasts on 750 AM/102.9 FM The Game (English) and La GranD 1150 AM/93.5 FM (Spanish).
On the road
With a win against FC Dallas in the Knockout Round on Oct. 31, the Timbers recorded their fourth road win in the playoffs in six seasons, improving to 4-1-2 all-time on the road. Among teams that have played multiple road playoff matches, Portland has the best road postseason winning percentage (.714) in MLS. In eight career playoff matches against Sounders FC across all eras (since 1975), the Timbers have won five meetings. The last time these two teams squared off in the postseason in Seattle, Portland recorded its first-ever MLS playoff win, registering a 2-1 victory on Nov. 2, 2013. Postseason form
Three different players have scored a goal for the Timbers in their first two playoff matches in 2018, including the first career postseason goals from Jeremy Ebobisse and Sebastián Blanco against Seattle. Diego Valeri recorded his sixth career playoff assist in the club's win in the first leg of the Western Conference Semifinals and recorded a brace in the Knockout Round.
