LA Galaxy News Release
LOS ANGELES - The LA Galaxy announced today that the club has relieved Vice President of Soccer Operations Pete Vagenas of his duties, effective immediately.
"The club has made the decision to part ways with Pete Vagenas," said LA Galaxy President Chris Klein. "We felt this move was in the best interest of the LA Galaxy going forward. Our search for a leader of our soccer operations department and a head coach remains ongoing. We'd like to thank Pete for all of his contributions to the LA Galaxy."
Vagenas previously played for the Galaxy during nine of his 13 years in Major League Soccer and was a part of the Galaxy's 2002 and 2005 MLS Cup championships. The LA Galaxy concluded the 2018 MLS Regular Season on Sunday, Oct. 28 at StubHub Center with a match against the Houston Dynamo. The club will release a preseason schedule in the coming weeks.
