
Timbers to Face Seattle Sounders FC Tonight at Providence Park

The Portland Timbers will square off against Cascadia-rival Seattle Sounders FC in MLS regular-season action tonight, Wednesday, Sept. 23 at 7 p.m. (Pacific), at Providence Park. The match will feature a local television broadcast on FOX 12 PLUS, with local radio broadcasts on 750 The Game (English) and La GranD 1150AM/93.5 FM (Spanish).
Tonight's contest marks the 110th all-time meeting between Portland and Sounders FC since the 1975 season. Since the Timbers entered MLS in 2011, Wednesday's match will be the 36th match across all competitions between the two clubs, with the Timbers trailing the Sounders 14-15-6. The last time the two teams met, Portland earned a 2-1 road victory over the Sounders at CenturyLink Field on Sept. 6 behind a goal and an assist from Eryk Williamson and the game-winning goal from Felipe Mora.
