Timbers Take on LAFC at BMO Stadium this Afternoon

The Portland Timbers are set to face LAFC today, Saturday, March 4 at BMO Stadium. Kickoff is set for 1:30 p.m. (Pacific) with broadcasts available on FOX and MLS Season Pass on Apple TV, and local radio broadcasts on 750 The Game (English) and La GranD 1150AM/93.5 FM (Spanish).

The Timbers will face the reigning MLS Cup champions, LAFC, for their season and home opener at BMO Stadium. In 13 MLS regular season matchups, Portland and LAFC are even with a mark of 4-4-5. When playing at BMO Stadium, the Timbers have just one win against LAFC with a record of 1-2-3. The last time the two sides faced off, LAFC took three points at Providence Park on Oct. 2, 2022. Prior to that, Portland was unbeaten in six straight regular season matches against LAFC (3-0-3), dating back to October of 2020. Last weekend, the Timbers opened the season with a 1-0 victory over Sporting Kansas City at Providence Park. Juan David Mosquera scored Portland's first goal of the season and lone goal of the night early in the first half to seal Portland's first win of the season.
