AUSTIN, Texas - CF Montréal lost 1-0 to Austin FC on Saturday night at Q2 Stadium Stadium. Maxi Urruti broke the deadlock in the 88th minute to give his side the win.
CF Montréal will play its third straight game on the road, against Nashville SC, next Saturday, at 8:30pm ET, at Geodis Park (RDS, TSN, Apple MLS Season Pass, BPM Sports, CJAD 800).
MATCH NOTES:
-Four homegrown players - Jonathan Sirois, Nathan Saliba, Sean Rea and Mathieu Choinière - were in the starting lineup against Austin, a record for CF Montreal.
-Sean Rea and Jonathan Sirois each earned their first career MLS starts.
-In the 13th minute of the match, Samuel Piette became the player to have played the most minutes in MLS regular season play in Club history, surpassing Ignacio Piatti.
-Lassi Lappalainen got his 50th start with the Club in MLS.
-Subbed-in at the 87th minute of play, midfielder Ilias Iliadis played his first minutes with CF Montréal.
