Pensacola Blue Wahoos News Release
The Blue Wahoos got some much needed help in the bullpen with the arrival of Tim Adleman, the Cincinnati Reds announced on Saturday. Adleman began the season with the Bakersfield Blaze, the Reds Single-A affiliate in the California League. He made three appearances totaling 2.2 innings with three strikeouts.
Adleman was originally a product of the Baltimore Orioles organization as a 24th Round selection in 2010. He pitched the last two seasons pitching in the independent American Association and the Canadian-American League. He made 40 appearances for the New Jersey Jackals in 2013 with a 1.46 ERA over 49.1 innings. He finished the year with 62 strikeouts and 10 saves.
The Blue Wahoos have been a pitcher short since Ryan Dennick's promotion to Triple-A Louisville on Wednesday. Adleman will be available in the Wahoos bullpen Saturday night against Huntsville. First pitch is set for 6:30 from Joe Davis Stadium.
