Tigers Win Second Straight 6-1 Over Brandon

Medicine Hat Tigers News Release
Medicine Hat, AB - The Medicine Hat Tigers strung together their first back to back win scenario of the season Wednesday night after a commanding 6-1 win over the Brandon Wheat Kings.
The Tigers would open the scoring on a Hunter St. Martin (Edmonton, AB) re-direct of a Dallon Melin (Czar, AB) shot beating Wheat Kings starter Carson Bjaranson to make it 1-0 3:38 in. Medicine Hat would then answer on their first power play of the night thanks to Brenden Lee's (Seattle, WA) 7th PPG and 9th of the year to make it 2-0 from Andrew Basha (Calgary, AB) & Oasiz Wiesblatt (Calgary, AB).
The Wheat Kings would make things interesting twice on various power play opportunities as Noah Danielson thought he had scored to make it just a 2-1 Tiger lead, but a successful offside challenge by the Tigers Coaching Staff would pay dividends as the goal was disallowed. But as the Tigers killed off another 5 on 3, Jake Chiasson would make no mistake on a one timer past Beckett Langkow (Vegreville, AB) to give the Wheat Kings some life going into the 2nd.
Just one goal for the Tigers courtesy of Lee's second of the night and 10th of the season at 7:16 made it 3-1 Tigers as Wiesblatt and Basha would continue to roll setting up the 20 year old veteran.
Off to the third frame where the Tigers would put things away early with three goals in the first 3:13 of the 3rd period thanks to Tomas Mrsic (Surrey, BC), Owen MacNeil (Calgary, AB) & Dru Krebs (Okotoks, AB) to give the Tigers their 6th win of the year and 2nd of the season series against Brandon.
Medicine Hat would outshoot Brandon 37-19 and go 1/5 on the power play while the Tabbies were 2/3 on the penalty kill. The Tigers are now 6-9-3-1 on the season and are just two points back of Swift Current for 4th in the Central Division.
The Tigers will hit the road for a pair of games in Saskatchewan starting with an affair with the Saskatoon Blades on Friday night followed by a trip to the Art Hauser Centre and their second meeting of the year against the Prince Albert Raiders on Saturday.
You can catch both games live on the home of the Tigers WILD 94.5 with Gino De Paoli starting with the Pre-Game show at a special start time of 5:45 PM MT/ST both nights.
Medicine Hat's next home game is Wednesday, November 23 when the defending WHL Champion Edmonton Oil Kings come to Co-op Place.
