Tri-City Americans News Release
KENNEWICK, WA - Tri-City Americans general manager Bob Tory announced today that the team has acquired 19-year-old goaltender Jared Picklyk from the Lethbridge Hurricanes in exchange for a sixth-round pick in the 2024 WHL Prospects Draft.
The six-foot-two and 185-pound netminder has played parts of four seasons in the WHL with the Hurricanes, appearing in 38 games with a 14-14-2 record.
"Tomas Suchanek will be leaving soon for over a month to compete with Czechia at the World Juniors Championship in Halifax, N.S., as a result we needed to add another goaltender," stated Tory. "For the short term, we will carry three goaltenders.
"Jared is an experienced WHL goaltender who will provide depth to our team. We welcome him to the Americans."
Picklyk, a native of Kelowna, B.C., has played nine games this season, posting a 4-5-0-0 record with a 3.50 goals-against average and a .877 save percentage.
