ICE CHIPS
The Winnipeg ICE host Connor Bedard and the Regina Pats in a 7:00 face off tonight at the ICE Cave inside Wayne Fleming Arena.
The ICE are coming off an 8-3 victory Saturday over the Brandon Wheat Kings in the Battle of Manitoba presented by Taylor McCaffery Lawyers. Zach Benson scored twice while Connor McClennon, Conor Geekie, Aiden Oiring, Skyler Bruce, Owen Pederson and Vladislav Shilo also found the back of the net extending Winnipeg's winning streak to 13 games. The ICE went 2/7 on the power play and scored two shorthanded goals while improving their record to 18-1. Daniel Hauser made 32 saves.
The ICE have a 6-0 record on their current 10 game homestand.
Last month, Winnipeg became the first Eastern Conference based team to go a perfect 5-0 versus the B.C. Division since the 2011-12 Kootenay ICE.
Carson Lambos was named the 24th Captain in ICE franchise history on October 6th.
The 19 year old returned from Minnesota Wild Training Camp where he appeared in three NHL preseason games. Connor McClennon, Owen Pederson and Ben Zloty were named alternate captains for 2022-23.

The ICE and Pats will play six times during the regular season (Oct 7 @ Reg 5-2 W / tonight @ Wpg / Saturday @ Wpg / Dec 11 @ Wpg / Feb 18 @ Reg / Mar 3 @ Reg).
Winnipeg had a 7-0 record versus Regina during the 2021-22 regular season led by forwards Matthew Savoie (7 goals and 6 assists) and Zach Benson (6 goals & 7 assists) who each registered 13 points.
