
Tigers Drop Tough Game in Brandon

Medicine Hat, AB-The Medicine Hat Tigers came into Saturday's game looking to snap a 4 game losing streak but their competition was difficult as the Brandon Wheat Kings looked to move up into the top ranks of the Eastern Conference.
Nolan Patrick scored twice back to back in the opening period on Tiger starter Mack Shields and Tim McGauley added a goal and two assists as the Wheat Kings held a 3-0 lead after the first period, outshooting the Tabbies 19-9. Brandon would extend their lead to 5-0 in the second frame with John Quenneville and Ivan Provorov adding to the lead.
In the final period, Medicine Hat would get on the board, solving Logan Thompson, who has had the Tigers number this season, going 2-0-0-0 with a 2.50 GAA heading into the game. Chad Butcher would bury his 18th of the season and Matt Bradley also chipped in with his 18th on the year with a power play marker. Steven Owre continued his hot play offensively for Medicine Hat, assisting on both Tigers goals.
Medicine Hat would end up outshot 49-30 at the final buzzer as the Tigers would drop their 5th straight game heading back home Tuesday night.

Medicine Hat will now head home Tuesday night to face the Saskatoon Blades before travelling to Red Deer to face the Rebels.
