Portland Winterhawks this Week

Portland Winterhawks News Release

Hawks Happenings On The Ice:

Rihards Bukarts had an assist on Portland's first period goal Saturday against Victoria to extend his point streak to five games. Bukarts has been remarkably consistent with the Hawks this season, as only once has he gone as many as two straight games without a point. He has 41 points in 39 games with Portland since being acquired in late October.

After the Hawks play at home Friday and next Monday, they'll be on the road for nearly two weeks for their trip through the WHL's Central Division, with stops in Lethbridge, Medicine Hat, Calgary, Edmonton, Red Deer and Kootenay. The Hawks have only seven home games remaining in the regular season, six of them against U.S. Division rivals.

Saturday's game in Seattle will be televised live on Portland's CW32. Todd Vrooman will have play-by-play of all the action with analysis from Andy Johnson. It's the first of three remaining television games, all of them to be played in Seattle.

Hawks Happenings Off The Ice:

The last Winterhawks player appearance of the season is tonight at the Sellwood Les Schwab store, 2500 SE Tacoma Street. Rodrigo Abols, Caleb Jones, Ryan Hughes, Conor MacEachern and Alex Overhardt will be there from 4:30 to 6:00 for autographs and pictures.

Fans can still buy tickets to the team Jerseys off the Backs promotion at the season finale. Raffle tickets are on sale at all home games, with lucky winners receiving the jersey right off a Winterhawk player's back following the March 20 regular season finale. Proceeds go to the Player Education Fund.
