Mahoning Valley Scrappers News Release
The tigers score first on Wednesday night in the bottom of the first when Mike Gosse singled in Brent Wyatt. The Tigers added single run in the third and two more run in the fourth on a wild pitch and a throwing error and after four it was 4-0 Tigers.
It took till the fifth before the Scrappers collected their first base hit and it was back to back singles by Jeremie Tice and Brock Simpson, but the Scrappers could not score and after five is was still 4-0 Tigers.
Relief pitching started putting up zeros in the sixth and continued through the bottom of the sixth, the seventh and the eighth and the score remained 4-0 tigers going to the top of the ninth.
In the ninth, the Scrappers were retired quickly and dropped game two to the Oneonta tigers 4-0
