May 17, 2004 - Canadian Football League (CFL)
Hamilton Tiger-Cats News Release

As a native Hamiltonian, he proudly wore the black and gold for six seasons.

Trevor Shaw, a product of Glendale Secondary in Hamilton, was released by the Tiger-Cats today.

Shaw was obtained by Hamilton, in a trade with the BC Lions on August 27, 1998. In his CFL career, he played in two Grey Cup games, both with the Tiger-Cats, in 1998 and 1999.

Shaw attended Weber State University in Utah after his high school days. Overall, in his CFL career, Shaw played in 135 regular season games, had 65 catches for 780 yards, and five touchdown catches.

"It's always a difficult decision to release a fine player and person, like Trevor," said Tiger-Cats head coach Greg Marshall. We've signed a lot of quality receivers, so, we decided to go in this direction at this time. We certainly thank Trevor for his time that he spent representing the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, and we wish him all the best."
