
Argonauts training camp opens in six days, practices open to public

TORONTO, ON â The Toronto Argonauts are preparing to officially open their doors for the 2004 season. The Double Blue coaching staff is busy assembling the roster for a North American record 131st season, with John Avery, one of the most exciting players in professional football, joining the team. High calibre free agents like Bashir Levingston, Tony Miles, Noel Prefontaine and Marcus Brady will return as training camp opens on Sunday, May 23.
The veterans report for medicals on Saturday, May 22 with two-a-day practices beginning on May 23. Generally, practices will be held at 9:15 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. daily, unless otherwise announced. Coaches and players will be available to the media for quick hits immediately following practice. One-on-one interviews should be set up in advance with Beth Waldman.
Updates will be available online at www.argonauts.ca. The 2004 Training Camp Prospectus will be available to the media at training camp.
Training camp is open to the general public. Fans of the Boatmen can come out to UofT Erindale, 3359 Mississauga Rd. North, South Portables, and be among the first to meet your 2004 Toronto Argonauts.
